Greentopia received a $75,000 tree planting grant from the Department of Environmental Conservation to begin work on the 1,000 Tree Project. Street trees not only beautify and increase the walkability of neighborhoods, they also provide health and stormwater runoff benefits. We intend to plant 1,000 trees in and directly around the EcoDistrict. This grant will allow us to plant the first approximately 350 over the next two years!
