Path to a Park

In 2022, Governor Hochul announced the creation of a new State Park located on 40 acres at the bottom of the gorge at High Falls.

Greentopia has been a key advocate for the park since 2011 and currently sits on the newly formed Park Advisory Committee. Greentopia’s goal in planning this future state park is to ensure that our park offers all Rochestarians: a sense of place, an escape from concrete, recognition that everyone’s history is important, a restored and accessible waterfront, and a threshold experience to the great outdoors.
